Are you looking to connect with other women to renew, refresh, and recharge your soul? Then OASIS is just for you!
I am so excited to talk to you today about one my passions…OASIS! OASIS is an actual place where we can meet each other and share our stories in person. My mom, Esther Campanella, and I founded OASIS in 2012 with the desire to have women recharge and renew their souls.
OASIS is a place of connection…and in light of the contentious climate in our country these days…don’t we need more places where we can connect with honesty, authenticity, and truth? Can I get an “amen”? It is when we isolate and divide that misunderstanding, competition, and judgment fester.
We need more connection and less division. More understanding less judgment. More encouragement less criticism.
The purpose of OASIS to get women together during the summer to listen, talk, and share their stories of faith and life. Our goal is to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere where women can bring their friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members and be encouraged, inspired, and challenged by other women.
We meet one evening in June, July, and August (click on the OASIS tab in the top menu bar to get all of the dates and details). Each month, different women come and share their personal stories of turning to God during pivotal points in their lives and how those decisions brought hope, peace, and strength.
These women are going to take off their masks and show us their struggles, their pain, and their insecurities.
And by doing so, they will teach and touch us all because that is the power of story.
They will reveal to us what it looks like to accept yourself as God made you, to let go and trust, and to allow God to use everything (even the bad, the sad, and the ugly) for His purposes.
They are the living examples of Romans 8:28:
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
If you are still hesitant about coming and need some encouragement, I have come up with 5 compelling reasons why OASIS is just for YOU:
1) GIRL’S NIGHT OUT
Don’t we all need time with our girlfriends? This is a perfect way to grab a friend or two, meet for an early dinner, and come to OASIS together. Give yourself permission to talk, laugh, cry, and just be with people who know, support, and love you. And if you cannot find anyone who wants to join you, come anyway! You will meet likedminded women there and find new friends.
2) NO RSVP
We understand that people are in and out all summer, so you do not have to let us or anyone else know if you are coming (or not coming). Just show up. You and your friends, family members, co-workers & neighbors are always welcome at OASIS. We do not take attendance!
3) NO REQUIREMENTS
You do not have to do anything, bring anything, or be anything. There are no books to read or homework to prepare. You will not be called on to speak or share (unless, of course, you want to!). It does not matter what church you attend or if you attend church at all. If you are a woman (teenager on up), OASIS is your place! Also, the event is completely FREE. This is no charge to attend and you will never be asked for money.
4) REAL WOMEN
At OASIS you will meet women just like you. No one is there to preach or judge. We are all on the same journey seeking God’s truth and are there to support and encourage one another. You will hear stories that will make you laugh and cry, but they are all authentic and genuine from real women with whom you can connect.
Yes, YOU are the #1 reason you should come to OASIS! Do it for yourself. Do it to feed your soul and refresh your spirit. Do it to meet kindred spirits and be recharged and renewed this summer.
In two weeks, on Tuesday, June 19 , we are honored to welcome Stacey Carroscia as our guest speaker to share her very personal and moving story of unexpectedly becoming a widow in 2012.
Are you grieving the loss of someone close to you or walking through grief with a close friend or family member?
Do you wonder how you can adjust to “new normal”?
Where can you go for hope and healing when you suffer one of life’s most devastating losses?
Stacey Carroscia met her high school sweetheart, Perry, at the age of 15. Thirty-four years later, after 24 years of marriage and three children, Perry passed away suddenly from an unknown brain tumor that hemorrhaged.
Stacey is approaching her sixth summer without her beloved Perry. She has lived and struggled down her hardest, tear-stained road as a single mom and widow. It was a very deep dark valley, but Stacey has experienced healing, found a new normal and a great hope. There are still tears, hard times and struggles, but through grief, there can be sure hope and peace.
All of our lives will be touched by loss in one way or another; come and be encouraged by Stacey’s story of finding strength, peace, and hope through her faith in God and the compassion of others.
Click HERE for the details and make plans to attend. Also, make sure you find me (the one with the dark hair!) and introduce yourself! If you are an ATC subscriber (meaning you receive these posts via email), I would love to give you a small gift as a token of my appreciation.
If you sign up to be an email subscriber today, you will be notified of the upcoming OASIS events throughout the summer. You will also receive my FREE e-book, “EMBRACING THE MIDDLE.”
Please pass this information to all of the women in your life and encourage them to take a few hours out of their day to renew, refresh, and recharge their souls!
