- Our destination is not a place but a person.
- Our destination is not reached by following a set of religious rules but by developing a deeper relationship.
- Our destination is not a fixed point here on earth but a continuous journey we take until we leave this world.
What is the final culmination of SOUL CARE? How do we move from taking care of our physical and emotional needs like Elijah to moving to a place of confident assurance and obedience like Queen Esther?
We get to know Jesus.
It is that simple.
If you want your life to have true meaning and significance…
If you want to follow the right path…
If you want to make a difference in this messed up, broken world….
If you want to be healed of your own pain, hurt, guilt, and shame…
Knowing, loving, and serving Jesus is THE ONLY WAY.
Next week I am going to take a “spring break” to spend time with my family so I will not be posting on Mindful Monday or Faithful Friday, but I am going to leave you with a challenge and a 7-day assignment while I am gone (You really did not think I would leave you for a whole week without giving you something to do, did you?)
I think it is the perfect way to end your month-long study of caring for your soul. If you are serious of reaching this destination, if you really want to get to know Jesus in a deeper and more real way, if you want to hear His voice and follow His path, I want you to do this 7-day devotional entitled “Searching for Significance.”
This free, 7-day devotional was made available to me through Wycliffe Bible Translators. For those of you unfamiliar with this organization, Wycliffe Bible Translators is the largest scripture translation organization in the world, with a widespread mission network internationally and in the United States. They endeavor to have begun a translation of the Bible into every language by 2025 while fostering Christian community, providing educational material and fellowship resources.
I am so thrilled that they are allowing me to make this devotional available to all of my readers. In one week you will go through short, yet powerful daily Bible lessons which will teach you that the only way to find peace for your soul, significance, and true worth is through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Maybe you have been mindlessly searching for a long time, maybe you have taken a few detours that led you in the wrong direction, or maybe you have just been stuck at the crossroads, not knowing where to find rest for your soul.
Please finish strong by downloading this beautiful, Biblical, and thoughtful study by clicking here: Wycliffe_Searching_for_Significance
One of the best things you can do for your soul is to get to know the “lover of your soul”– Jesus. If you have any questions as you do this study, please feel free to reach out to me. It would be my privilege and pleasure to help you in any way that I can.
Rest. Renew. Reflect. Respond. Reconnect.
I think that is more than enough to keep you focused during the next week! I would also love your feedback on this SOUL CARE series. Let me know your thoughts on the downloads, printables, scripture verses, reflective questions, Bible studies, etc. I am always looking for input on how I can best meet your needs and help you on your faith journey.
I look forward to seeing you in April (it is only 8 days away) where we will begin a new focus for the month as we look toward Easter: GRACE.
